 Plan for Revision I am quite grateful that this class is based around a research proposal and not a whole research plan because I feel behind on even just the proposal. Dylan was able to help me quite a bit on some of the ways that I can revise my outline for my research proposal. I think essentially I need to make my proposal more specific. I need to specify which types of technical writing I will be examining to connect social media to mass shooters. I need to specify which shooters in specific I will be analyzing. I need to specify the criteria that would deem a contagion effect true based on the information that is analyzed in the technical writings that I find. 

 Research Gap There were a few different gaps that I noticed when I was reading through the sources that I have found. I am still working to identify that gap that I would like to use for the research essay. I may write about the gap in the "contagion effect" and its relation to the echo chambers used in social media posts. I would also like to look at echo chambers in more depth. How prevalent are echo chambers? There is not much information on them out there, but all of these different sources that I am reading allude to them in the first place. This idea that social media only shows you what you want to see can be directly taken from the sources used in the literature review. 

      I have decided on my topic for my Senior Thesis. I am going to analyze the relationship between social media and mass shootings. Why when mass shootings occur, you only see what your political view wants you to see?       There are a few different ideas that I am considering studying for both this class as well as simultaneously study into a deeper level for my senior thesis paper.  Study the relationship between social media and political ideology among young adults. How is twitter affecting the way youth think about politics? How should AI be taught in schools to recognize the pros and cons effectively?  How are athletes at the collegiate level treated differently than regular students? I would say my level of interest is shown in the order above. I think that I will like see the way the technical communication is affecting the younger generations biases.
